Meet your instructor

Hey, I'm so glad you're eager to learn more about this underrated craft.

I went to school for business and humanities but I was always hoping to pursue art. I just didn't know to stand out in a sea of talented creatives who have started younger than I have.

The summer before my last year of university, I taught myself how to do mixed media animation through countless hours of experimentation and analyzing the works of editors I admire. I figured it could be my ticket in the door. I had a lot of faith in myself but I was still surprised when everything worked out in my favour.

I posted my practice videos on Instagram in hopes of getting an internship but it resulted in me freelancing full-time as soon as I graduated (with mixed media being 90% of my jobs).

I'd like to think that I contributed to the rise of mixed media work, and I hope to continue to do so. I'll be passing on everything I've learned the past 2 years to you in the next 3-6 months, including the unique ways I use to get the coolest freelance gigs.

XOXO,
ESTRELLA
